A BIT ON THE IDEAL RELATIONSHIP
I stumbled upon this piece by Kehinde Dacosta Lawrence (KDL), I hope it makes a meaning to you as much as it did to me :). "What if we got it wrong? What if relationships should not be cultivated on ‘I love you’ but on ‘I am happy with you and you are happy with me’ now let’s build a loving relationship based on a promise to stay together…see we wait too much on love, when it should already be there, if GOD says we should love even our enemies, HE is saying that as a given, love should be a part and template of who we are, so how much more loving someone we are considering spending the rest of our life with. We have forced this ‘sensational feeling’ to be a measuring stick for how to move forward and thereby we wait to ‘fall’ in love, which is a taught behaviour because, it's not natural, we are to be 'loving' meaning capable of love and not coerced into a semblance of it because we justify it by emotions comparable to what we see on tv...the truth is you can fall out of what you fall into, so much better is to be happy and grow in love together...~Kehinde Dacosta Lawrence®™2012
